Lifeskills at Stockdales is a service which offers lots of opportunities and activities to young people and adults in the community who have learning disabilities.
Lifeskills is ideal for people who want to develop their independent living skills, increase their confidence and make new friends.
Classes and activities take place at venues across Trafford and the surrounding areas. The timetable is diverse and innovative.
People can choose from a range of classes and activities including literacy, numeracy, ICT, independent living skills, conservation, allotment, yoga, cookery, drama, art and dance.
The Lifeskills sessions are designed to meet the needs of each person so they can learn new skills and reach their full potential. The timetable gives choice and lots of opportunities to young people and adults with learning disabilities.
Lifeskills has a very strong social focus. Social activities include two evening clubs each week where people can get together and meet up with friends.
People can also attend our busy weekend events which include day trips and residential breaks. This busy calendar of events is designed by the people themselves and can include anything from nightclubbing, trips to theme parks and the theatre.
