Stockdales supports some of the most vulnerable children, young people and adults in our community. Raising funds is an essential part of our work. Cuts in statutory fees and government spending means that fundraising has become increasingly important for Stockdales.
Our main purpose is to support people with disabilities to lead rewarding, stimulating and challenging lives by giving them opportunities to develop their skills. This year we have a fundraising target of £200,000 to make this happen.
Fundraising has helped us with several major capital appeals. As a result, we have been able to purchase and renovate three residential houses. Fundraising also helps us to invest in the best specialist equipment for our service users, develop our services, purchase vehicles, pay for transport, subsidise classes and activities and pay for holidays.
All of the above would not be possible without fundraising. That’s why donations, small or large, are gratefully received from individuals, local and national companies and charitable trusts.
There are many ways you can help us keep up the good work, from making a donation to doing a sponsored challenege event. It's not just about money either, you can donate your time by volunteering for us or if you are a business why not join our business support network?
Whichever way you decide to help , you can be certain you will be supporting a really worthwhile cause!
