Tea Party Success

We recently held our annual Vintage Summer Tea Party at our main site on Harboro Rd in Sale. The Alice in Wonderland themed event raised £490.00, attracting people far and wide.

The weather stayed mainly fine with the odd shower. But that didn’t stop friends and supporters! They enjoyed afternoon tea served on vintage china by waitresses in traditional black and white, all washed down with tea, coffee or fizz. A carefully selected playlist added to the ambience taking people back to bygone times.

The kids had great fun playing games, jumping around on the bouncy castle and getting dressed up with the props and wigs in the selfie booth. People took their chances on the both the kid’s and adult’s tombolas and there was face painting and candy floss courtesy of the Candy Floss Kid.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported the event. There was a great atmosphere and people seemed to enjoy themselves. It’s a wonderful event as it brings everyone together – staff, volunteers, service users, friends and family and supporters.

The money raised will go towards our work supporting children, young people and adults with learning disabilities locally.
