Going back to our roots!
Over the last year we have been raising money to introduce a new children’s club. Stockies Juniors is a weekend club for children with special needs aged 5 – 11 years, so they can enjoy the same social time and activities as other children.
We ran a number of successful taster sessions earlier in the year and are delighted that the club is now running every week. It’s such an exciting venture for us and we’re so pleased to be going back to our roots – supporting younger children and their families.
The children have had a fantastic time dressing up in fancy dress costume, having sensory experiences with toys and in our special sensory pod, playing in the sandpit and making lots of noise with the musical instruments. We also have a state of the art interactive screen, so the little ones have had even more excitement with games, visuals and sound. It’s been a joy to watch them get involved in play and learning!
Stockies Juniors is popular as not many places offer this type of service to children with learning disabilities. And we wanted to make it as accessible as possible for everyone, which is where our fundraising came in.
Big thanks to everyone who have supported the project, it means so much to us.
