Super Sixty

When people reach significant birthdays later in life, quite often they find they don’t need or want more ‘stuff’. What better way to get round this than asking your friends to donate to charity instead of buying gifts?

This is what Sale resident Peter Steadman did when his 60th birthday was approaching. And guests who celebrated with him at his party at Ashton-on-Mersey Rugby club were very generous indeed. They gave Peter £520 in total to donate to Stockdales, which is just fantastic!
