Thank You Meadway Choirs

A local choir has become a “Stockdales Diamond” by helping the us to raise £770.08 at a recent concert.

The Meadway junior, youth and ladies choirs wowed the audience with a mix of traditional, pop, spiritual and classical songs. The diverse programme included performances of Fields of Gold by Sting and Paul Simon’s Bridge over Troubled Water.

Musical Director, Joe Agnew (pictured above with our fundraising manager, Natalie James), who formed the choir in 1992 has helped to raise thousands of pounds for charitable and good causes over the years. Joe and all of the singers perform for free.

Stockdales service users also got involved with the evening. Several members of the Enterprise Group who help to run the Stockdales Cafe at the Avenue Church every Wednesday were on hand to help serve the refreshments during the interval.

The event was well supported by local people. We cannot thank Joe and his choirs enough as their hard work helped us to raise a fantastic amount of much needed money for Stockdales. It was also great to get some of the people we support involved with the event – they loved to help out!

Anyone who is interested in putting on an event in aid of Stockdales should contact Natalie James on 0161 973 2296 or by email.
