Accountability

A well-run charity is an effective charity. We put as much effort into making sure we’re a robust and well-run organisation as we do making a difference to the people we support. This means that we and the people we work with can be confident Stockdales will still be going strong in the future.

We are lucky to rely on an experienced Board of Trustees who are responsible for guiding the charity and making sure it is well-run. They come from a range of backgrounds, including business, teaching and social care. You can take a look at our Trustee profiles here. If you’re interested in joining our Board, please get in touch.

Stockdales is accountable to many organisations to make sure things run in the way they should. Each year, the charity sends its’ annual report and accounts to the Charity Commission so everyone can see how we manage Stockdales and its’ finances.

We’re also regulated by the Care Quality Commission and Ofsted and have achieved Investors in People and the Dignity in Care Award. You can read all about our good practice and see our latest reports here.

It’s not only our care services that are regulated. Our fundraising is too. Being regulated by the Fundraising Regulator means Stockdales works to the Fundraising Code of Practice in everything we do.
