Stockdales wins Trafford’s Dignity in Care Award

We are very proud that all three of our residential houses for adults have won Trafford Council’s Dignity in Care Award. Our house on Hayling Rd won the award last year. Just recently our other two houses Ashton and Headonhey have won their awards for going the extra mile in supporting some of Trafford’s most vulnerable people.

In the residential houses, we offer round the clock care to people who have severe learning and physical disabilities and who have the highest health needs. We help people with every aspect of their lives, from assistance with their personal care to support with their skills development and social activities.

The Dignity in Care Award is a rigorous process which assesses providers and their efforts to treat the people they support in a dignified and respectful way. The ten Dignity Challenges include treating people as individuals by offering a personalised service, right to privacy, engagement with family members and carers and assisting people with their confidence and self esteem.

Our chief executive, Emma Morris said, “We were absolutely overjoyed to win these awards. They are testament to the very high standards we have at Stockdales. The support we offer is person centred so it’s all about what each person wants and needs. Stockdales is totally committed to making sure each service user is treated with respect and on an individual basis.”
