The Diamond Ball

The Diamond Ball

We recently celebrated our 60th anniversary in style! The Stockdales Diamond Ball took place on Saturday 12th October at the Radisson Blu Edwardian in Manchester city centre, and raised £15,000 to help us with our work.

The event which was hosted by BBC Radio Manchester’s Becky Want saw over 180 guests enjoy a glittering evening. This began with a champagne reception in the hotel’s grand foyer followed by a 3 course dinner, raffle and auction with entertainment from Dominic Halpin and the Honey B’s.

Auction prizes included sports hospitality packages, holidays and breaks away along with afternoon tea and a specially hosted tour of the House of Lords.

Notable guests included Sale West and Altrincham MP, Mr Graham Brady and his wife, Victoria and Lord and Lady Lee of Trafford.

Emma Morris, chief executive of Stockdales said, “We were delighted to celebrate our 60th anniversary with such fantastic results. The amount we raised would not have been possible without the generous support of our guests and sponsors – Millcroft Wealth Management, Hydro-X Water Treatment and Reisser Ltd. Special thanks goes to everyone who was involved with the organisation of the event. We really couldn’t have hoped for a more successful evening. Everyone had a wonderful time.”

Emma went on to say, “I think our founders would be extremely proud of how far we’ve come and how much support we get from the local community and beyond to help us with our work helping people with disabilities. We really cannot thank everyone who has helped us enough. Here’s to the next 60 years!”
