Stockdales and Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey

Stockdales group shotRecently Stockdales were delighted to be asked to be complimentary sponsors of an Ice Hockey game held at the Altrincham Ice Dome between Manchester Phoenix and Peterborough Phantoms. We can’t thank Manchester Phoenix and the Phoenix Project enough. We took some of our service users and staff along to show our support and to watch the game, we all absolutely loved it, it was really exciting! It was also a great opportunity to get our name in the programme, helping to raise awareness of Stockdales and our work. We even got our photo taken with some of the players.Home MOTM

Special thanks goes to Neil Morris and Terry Snowden from the Phoenix Project for making this happen!”

Terry Snowden from the Phoenix Project said “It was great to be able to welcome people from Stockdales to the Ice Dome and to provide opportunities for people who for a variety of reasons are just not able to experience the raw excitement of Premier League Ice Hockey on a regular basis. I am sure they had a great a great time!”

The experience was enabled as a result of The Phoenix Project, a community partnership between the Manchester Phoenix Ice Hockey Club and The Heroes Project. The project provides opportunities for local charities and community based organisations to experience the ‘thrills and spills’ of Premier League Ice Hockey.

Through the Pheonix Project, Manchester Phoenix is keen to recognise and engage community based charities and organisations that serve to make a difference to the lives of local people, especially those from deprived communities and backgrounds or those living in deprived circumstances or conditions.
