Manchester Day Parade

Manchester Day was held on 14th June this year and is an annual event that celebrates everything great about the city. It’s a day for families, residents and visitors to get together and celebrate all things Mancunian that have made Manchester one of the world’s most iconic cities. So we didn’t want to miss out!

This year’s event had a gaming theme and a group of our service users, staff and volunteers were thrilled to be supported to take part in the vibrant parade. A lot of effort went into designing and making the fancy dress costumes, which looked absolutely spectacular. We went for a futuristic take on the gaming theme, with lots of deely bopper antennae, shiny costumes and big wings.

Lead by our dance and drama session teacher, Julie, the group performed a brilliant dance sequence in the parade. They were cheered on by the thousands of people who flocked to the city centre to show their support.
