Festive Fun at our Christmas Party

We recently held our annual Christmas Party at the Cresta Court Hotel in Altrincham. This lively event saw people with learning disabilities, staff, families and carers, volunteers, friends and supporters all get together for a rip roaring night of festive fun.

The dance floor was full from start to finish which is the norm at Stockdales parties, except for when people were refuelling with the delicious buffet. There were several highlights of the evening – one being the conga around the room and also presenting Jean Harvey with a bouquet of flowers. Jean is due to leave us this Friday after 38 years of service with Stockdales.

The cost of this year’s party was kindly sponsored by the congregation of St. Peter’s church in Hale who raised £3,000.00 from their recent Harvest Festival. Big thanks to them – what a marvellous effort!!

Our Christmas Party is one of the most looked forward to events in our social calendar and just gets better each year. It’s that time of year that people like to get together with friends to celebrate this special time of the year. And it’s no different for people with learning disabilities!!
