Off to a Tee!
This year we held our 8th charity Golf challenge at Sale Golf Club and we feel that we are finally getting to grips with the game. Although Natalie and Sally still don’t pretend to understand the handicap system!
With more teams than ever entered, we hoped for a great day’s golf on the course. 18 teams competed for the coveted claret jug, this year won by Alan Hugall’s team and took part in challenges such as “nearest the pin” and “beat the pro”. Refreshment on the course was delivered in style, as always, by David Moores in his golf buggy.
Dinner in the marquee resounded with golfing stories and comedian James Sutherland provided the entertainment. It wouldn’t be a successful fundraiser without a charity auction and raffle and players all dug deep, with the event raising a wonderful £10,186.21. A brilliant result we think you will agree.
