Coronavirus Community Support Fund

As you can imagine, we were bowled over to learn we were getting a grant of £31,550 from The Coronavirus Community Support Fund. This will be put towards our ‘Digital for Protection’ project, helping with the safer and smoother running of our services and operations during the pandemic and beyond. Big thanks to the Government and The National Lottery Community Fund for making this happen.

The Coronavirus Community Support Fund was set up by the Office for Civil Society and managed by The National Lottery Community Fund in response to Covid-19 on charities. Like many other organisations, Stockdales has been hugely impacted by the virus as we’ve had to adapt the way we do things to keep everyone as safe as possible. And that’s meant many changes and a lot more work for our team.

We identified that our technology systems and digital equipment needed upgrading to help with infection control and introduce a more efficient way of working. Many things like meetings now have to be done remotely. And we are moving over to making notes and care plans digitally too. Plus, changing to a cloud based server to make everything run a lot more smoothly and quickly is needed now more than ever.

The grant will help us buy all of the software and equipment we need as we adapt to the new way of working. Thanks again to everyone involved with this generous support. It means so much to us!
