Back in the room!

You know you’re at a Stockdales party because the dancefloor is usually full before the event officially starts! And a few years of not having a Summer Ball meant people were itching to party like never before. And wow, did we do some dancing. Party tunes were full blast from around 6.30pm and went on solidly for around 4 hours! It was such a lovely evening with everyone having fabulous time from start to finish. In fact, it was the first time the Stockdales gang had all been together since 2019. And we’d thoroughly missed it.

We were delighted to welcome everyone from the people we support, to our team, friends, families and volunteers to the Summer Ball. We couldn’t hold the event at our usual venue this year, which meant we had to find an alternative. But our friends at Sale Golf Club had just the solution for us – a huge marquee where we could party the night away. And it couldn’t have worked out better with lots of space to get involved and lovely grounds to take a bit of quiet time if needed.

Did we do the YMCA in funny outfits? Yes, we did. How about the Macarena? What do you think? And did we see how low we could go with the Limbo? You guessed it! The event also marked the end of our ‘Marathon in a Month’ too. We gave out trophies and medals to all our teams that took part and did so well. It’s safe to say there was an extra special buzz in the air at the Summer Ball 2022 and people have said it was our best yet. We couldn’t agree more.
