What do we do? Service Focus – Residential Care

Our four residential houses for people with learning disabilities in Sale are just like any other family homes, busy with the comings and goings of the people that live in them. They are home to people with the highest health needs, who depend on the very highest standards of round-the clock care and support.

Through our residential services, Stockdales is proud to have been an invaluable lifeline for many people and their families and carers. We’ve helped lots of people to mark the major milestones in their lives such as all of the special birthdays up to 50 and beyond, plus all of their many achievements along the way.

People trust us with their lives, so it’s been an absolute joy and privilege to watch people blossom right through their childhoods into adulthood.

On a day-to-day basis, we help people with the things that many people take for granted. This includes all aspects of personal care and getting involved in the day-to-day running of the houses such as shopping, meal planning, prepping and cooking and generally keeping
things organised and tidy.

Socially you’ll often find people going out for meals to restaurants or to the pub, going the theatre to catch a show or perhaps the cinema to see the latest thriller or
chick-flick. And of course, people spend time with their family and friends too at afternoon tea parties, mulled wine events, football night and pamper parties. Add holidays to all of the above and you can safely say that people live regular, active and fun-filled lives.

You can support our work through fundraising or volunteering. You could also have a career with us. However you choose to be involved, you really will reap the rewards of our life-changing work!
