Lizzie has been coming to Stockdales for many years. It’s been a pleasure to watch her grow during this time. Her confidence and conversation have come on in leaps and bounds as proud Dad Joe told us. “Elisabeth when she wakes up each day is so excited. After enjoying the summer holiday, we were excited to get back to business with our autumn programme with some exciting changes. As the trees turn to shades of gold, red and brown we’re sure the ‘Media with a Difference’ group will be out and about capturing those special images and enjoying the crisp, bright autumn days. The group have taken on some fantastic projects with the guidance of session leader Justin, a professional photographer who has really inspired the group to be their best.

Over the last year we have been raising money to introduce a new children’s club. Stockies Juniors is a weekend club for children with special needs aged 5 – 11 years, so they can enjoy the same social time and activities as other children.

If you know Stockdales, you’ll know we like a good party. So that’s what we did to celebrate the wonderful summer we’ve just had. We take a break from our usual activities so we can do our summer programme. So, we were officially in holiday mode come the end of July doing stuff locally as well as days out to the seaside and other places of interest. And the people we support love it as they like getting out and about and taking a break from they normally do.

The lovely team at the Sale Branch of the Leeds Building Society have been busy raising funds for Stockdales. This time they organised an in store raffle and with the help of all their fantastic customers they raised £150 which is just brilliant!
